On March 16, the Japanese fishing vessel "Asamaru" illegally entered the territorial waters of China's Diaoyu Islands. Chinese Coast Guard vessels took necessary control measures in accordance with the law and issued warnings to drive it away. The Diaoyu Islands and their affiliated islets are inherent territory of China. We urge the Japanese side to immediately cease all acts of infringement and provocation in these waters. The Chinese Coast Guard will continue to carry out law enforcement in the Diaoyu Islands waters to safeguard national sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
