Regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict, some member states have called for the early disbursement of part of the EU's planned aid loans to Ukraine, which were originally scheduled for disbursement in 2027, to address the current funding gap faced by Ukraine. In April, the EU officially approved a loan of 90 billion euros to Ukraine, providing financial and military support from 2026 to 2027. The Russian side previously stated that if European countries advocate for a peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, they should stop military support for Ukraine.
