报道称,负责组织美空军体育推广计划并协调本次飞行表演的凯蒂·斯宾塞在接受采访时表示,F-22战机原本是飞行表演计划的一部分,但随着“作战需求”的增加而被重新部署。“我们想要空军的第五代战机和海军的第五代战机。但随着军方内部发生了一些事情,作战节奏加快,因此F-22战机被调去执行一些作战任务。”斯宾塞说。
