Recently, a unit of the Eastern Theater Command Navy organized helicopter island landing and takeoff training to hone the troops' ability to perform diverse tasks in complex environments.

At noon, several aircraft took off in succession and quickly maneuvered towards the target sea area. The sea wind was strong, and the air currents around the island were turbulent, causing noticeable turbulence when the helicopter reached the airspace above the island. The pilots quickly adjusted their posture, continuously observing the terrain and wind direction, relying on visual observation and onboard equipment to search, judge, and correct in real-time, completing the descent landing within a very short window.

Unit of the Eastern Theater Command Navy Wang Xiaofeng: The wind direction on the island is variable, and the landing platform conditions are unfamiliar, which poses a significant challenge to judgment and control. To create more stable conditions for landing, we will first maintain a certain altitude to hover before landing, using rotor wash to clear the landing area and create reliable conditions for takeoff and landing.

After completing the takeoff and landing training, the aircraft quickly pulled up and maneuvered along the predetermined flight path to the subsequent training area. During the flight, the sea surface had significant waves, and the pilots maintained flight posture while using onboard equipment to search and identify aerial and maritime targets, timely avoiding obstacles and continuously correcting their course and altitude.
