On the evening of April 20 local time, the Israel Defense Forces stated in a declaration that earlier that day, they had killed several members of Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese areas of Bint Jbeil and near the Litani River.
The IDF claimed in the statement that these Hezbollah members "violated the ceasefire agreement" and posed a threat to IDF forces.
Currently, there has been no response from Hezbollah regarding this matter.
At midnight on the 17th local time, Lebanon and Israel initiated a 10-day ceasefire. On April 20, an IDF spokesperson stated that during the ceasefire agreement, the Israel Defense Forces would continue to be stationed in southern Lebanon to respond to activities from Hezbollah.
