Reporter: According to reports, the United States and Japan recently held the largest joint exercise in history, "Sword 27," focusing on island seizure. The Japan Self-Defense Forces will deploy the Type 25 anti-ship missile in this exercise. Additionally, the U.S. Marine Corps' expeditionary vessel interception system has been deployed for the first time on Yonaguni Island, the closest point to Taiwan. What is your comment on this?

Zhang Xiaogang: The Asia-Pacific region is a high ground for peaceful development. Only those who align with the trend of peace can go far; insisting on provoking camp confrontation is unpopular. Japan's alignment with certain countries to conduct so-called joint exercises, the development and deployment of medium- and long-range missiles, the continuous strengthening of military deployments in the southwestern islands, and the accelerated push for "re-militarization" are becoming real threats to regional security.

The Taiwan issue is purely a matter of China's internal affairs, and we will never allow external forces to interfere in China's Taiwan region. No one should underestimate China's strong determination, firm will, and powerful capability to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Anyone who foolishly attempts to "use Taiwan to contain China" or engages in military provocations will inevitably pay an unbearable price.
