On May 5 local time, British Prime Minister Starmer stated that the UK government will deploy an additional four "Typhoon" fighter jets to Qatar to enhance defense operations in the region.
During a press conference at Downing Street, Starmer indicated that this action was taken in response to a request for "further assistance" from allies in the Gulf region, aimed at strengthening the UK's defense posture in Qatar and throughout the region.
