Sweden Intends to Participate in the Japan-UK-Italy Fighter Jet Project

荣松介绍说:“我们此前的判断确实认为GCAP的发展方向未必符合瑞典空军的作战需求,因此决定放弃合作。”
他补充说,“(此后)我们一直在与国防承包商就联合研发的可行性进行讨论”,并强调参与GCAP仍是一个选项。
瑞典的动向将对全球下一代战机的研发计划产生影响。
原定于2025年底签署的GCAP首个公私部门合作合同已被推迟,这引发了人们对2035年部署战机的目标可能无法实现的担忧。此前还有传言称,财力雄厚的沙特也在研究加入该项目的可能性。
在欧洲,德国、法国和西班牙也在推进战机联合研发项目,但由于德法之间围绕主导权争斗不休,导致项目进程陷入停滞。据德国《法兰克福汇报》报道,德国也在考虑多种方案,例如与瑞典合作或加入GCAP。
