据美国方面17日消息，美国海军“福特”号航母及其护航舰艇正在穿越大西洋，前往直布罗陀海峡。这也是美国向伊朗周边派遣的第二个航母打击群。
美国方面12日曾有消息称，“福特”号航母及其护航舰艇已奉命从加勒比海前往中东。
在此之前，美国“林肯”号航空母舰打击群于2026年1月抵达中东地区，目前在阿曼附近海域活动。
据悉，美军还在中东地区部署了十多艘其他类型军舰、数百架战机和多套防空系统，并动用超过150架次的军用运输机将武器装备和弹药运往中东。
两名以色列消息人士当地时间18日称，有迹象显示未来几天美国和以色列可能对伊朗发动联合袭击，以色列已提升全国警戒级别，以色列后方司令部和其他应急机构也已接到指示，被要求“做好战争准备”。消息人士透露，以色列方面几个星期以来一直对伊美谈判持怀疑态度，并持续加速其作战计划及防御部署。
