On October 30, the U.S. Central Command stated on social media that on that day, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have destroyed a U.S. naval unmanned vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, which is incorrect.
On October 30 local time, the Iranian Navy announced that its forces had destroyed and sunk an enemy unmanned vessel operating in the eastern area of the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian side also stated that two oil tankers operating in the eastern no-go zone and unsafe area of the Strait of Hormuz ignored the warnings and regulations issued by Iran, and were damaged and caught fire after hitting mines. Iran warned the enemy that any actions, infiltration, or provocative behavior within the jurisdiction of the Iranian armed forces would be met with a strong counterattack from the Iranian Navy.
