According to the Yemeni government on the 6th, the local government of Taiz province in southwestern Yemen issued a statement strongly condemning the attack on a market in the province that day, and accused the Houthi armed forces of being responsible for this serious incident. The Houthi armed forces had earlier reported that the market was hit by three airstrikes from Saudi warplanes, resulting in over 30 casualties.
However, the Yemeni government stated that no warplanes conducted any airstrikes in the area where the market is located that day. The incident occurred due to the failure of a ballistic missile attack launched by the Houthi armed forces.
A Yemeni government official stated that the attack occurred at the Hadara market in the Waziye area of Taiz province, where hundreds of people were present at the time. The attack resulted in at least 28 civilian deaths and dozens of injuries, with many in critical condition, and the death toll may rise further.
Recently, the intensity of mutual attacks between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi armed forces has increased. At the same time, clashes between the Houthi armed forces and the Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces have also intensified on multiple fronts.
