宾雅明·佩莱德

Binyamin Peled was the commander of the Israeli Air Force during the Yom Kippur War and later oversaw an air arm central to some of Israel's most consequential military operations. His career links airpower doctrine, wartime adaptation, intelligence and readiness shock, and the role of service leadership in a state whose security depends heavily on rapid operational learning. The Yom Kippur War forced Israel's military establishment to confront the limits of earlier assumptions about superiority and warning, and service commanders become crucial when war exposes both the strengths and vulnerabilities of a heavily air-centered defense system.
