L-159 ALCA
The L-159, developed in the 1990s to modernize the Czech Air Force's fleet, is a versatile light combat aircraft based on the L-59 Super Albatros, featuring enhanced aerodynamics, a strengthened airframe, and advanced avionics. Powered by a Honeywell/ITEC F124-GA-100 turbofan engine, it has seven hardpoints for external loads and is equipped with modern navigation, attack systems, and self-protection features, with production resuming in 2017 for international customers like the Iraqi Air Force.
L-39 Albatros
The L-39 Albatros is a versatile jet trainer and light attack aircraft developed by Aero Vodochody in the late 1960s, featuring a tandem-seat design, robust construction, and a single turbofan engine. Widely adopted by over 30 countries, it offers improved performance and reliability over older trainers, with capabilities for basic combat roles, though it lacks advanced avionics for complex missions.
L-29 Delfin
The Aero L-29 Delfín, developed in the late 1950s as a jet-powered trainer for the Soviet Air Force, features a simple and rugged design with manual flight controls and stable flight characteristics, making it suitable for basic and advanced pilot training. Selected as the standard trainer for the Warsaw Pact, it entered production in 1963, yielding around 3,600 aircraft powered by the Motorlet M-701 turbojet, and designed for operation from unprepared fields with a tandem cockpit configuration
Commander 500
The Aero Commander 500 family, developed in the late 1940s by the Aero Commander company, features an all-metal, high-wing monoplane design with retractable undercarriage components from the Vultee BT-13 Valiant. Initially designated L-26 and later U-4 for the U.S. Air Force, the aircraft accommodates up to eleven passengers in larger variants and was used for various military roles, including serving as a presidential transport for Dwight D. Eisenhower.
