CF-105 Arrow
The Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow was a delta-winged interceptor aircraft designed for the Royal Canadian Air Force, capable of speeds up to Mach 2 at high altitudes. Developed from 1955, it featured advanced engineering, including a semi-monocoque frame, a pioneering hydraulic system, and was initially powered by the Pratt & Whitney J75 engine, with plans for the more powerful Orenda Iroquois in later models.
CF-100 Canuck
The CF-100, developed by Avro Canada starting in 1946 for the RCAF, was a two-seat jet-powered interceptor designed for all-weather operations, featuring advanced radar and fire control systems. It made its maiden flight in 1950, became the first straight-winged jet to achieve controlled supersonic flight, and evolved through various models, including the rocket-armed Mk 4A and high-altitude Mk 5, which eliminated machine guns in favor of aerial rockets.
