The SIGMA-class designation refers to a family of modular warships from Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding rather than a single uniform class. The design has been adapted for navies including Indonesia, Morocco, Mexico, and others. Its commercial success reflects a demand for customizable surface combatants with modern systems and manageable acquisition risk.

Technically, SIGMA-class ships use a scalable modular design approach.
