Overview
Oslo
The Oslo-class frigate, developed in the 1960s for the Royal Norwegian Navy, featured a robust design for harsh sea conditions and underwent multiple modernizations to enhance its capabilities, including the addition of advanced weaponry. Despite its significant service history, including the tragic sinking of the lead ship in 1994, the class was ultimately retired by 2006, replaced by the more advanced Fridtjof Nansen-class frigates.
