VSSK Vychlop

The VSSK Vychlop, also known as VKS, was developed for Russian special-purpose users who needed a suppressed large-caliber rifle for short-to-medium-range targets. It uses the 12.7x55 mm STs-130 cartridge family, a subsonic round designed for heavy bullet effect with reduced signature. Unlike ordinary anti-materiel rifles, Vychlop prioritizes quiet delivery and compact handling through a bullpup layout.

The rifle is a manually operated bullpup with a detachable magazine, integral or dedicated suppressor use, and heavy subsonic ammunition. Its large projectile can defeat body armor, vehicle glass, light cover, or sensitive equipment at ranges where standard suppressed rifles lack effect. The tradeoff is arched trajectory, limited range, and specialized ammunition logistics, making it a mission-specific system rather than a general sniper rifle.

Vychlop is suited to special operations, counterterror, and security missions where a shooter needs more destructive effect than 9x39 mm weapons while remaining quieter and more compact than 12.7x108 mm anti-materiel rifles. Its usefulness depends on close mission planning and target selection. It is not a long-range battlefield anti-materiel rifle; it is a suppressed heavy precision tool for difficult targets at controlled distances.
