Xinhua News Agency, Kuwait City, March 31 - According to Kuwaiti media reports on March 31, the Kuwait Oil Company stated that a Kuwaiti super tanker was attacked by an Iranian drone early that morning at the anchorage in Dubai, UAE.

The company indicated that the attack caused damage to the hull of the tanker "Salmi," and a fire broke out on board, which could potentially lead to an oil spill.

The Dubai Media Office posted on social media on March 31 that relevant authorities in Dubai have responded to the incident of "a drone affecting a Kuwaiti tanker," and there are currently no reports of casualties; all 24 crew members on the tanker are safe. Firefighting efforts are still ongoing.
