Belarusian Official Claims Strengthening Strategic Deterrence Including Nuclear Weapons

据白俄罗斯国家通讯社报道，沃尔福维奇是在向总统卢卡申科汇报军队大规模检查情况后对媒体作出上述表态的。他说，包括与白俄罗斯接壤国家在内的欧洲国家正积极推进军事化，增加军费开支，扩充武装力量，甚至在俄白联盟国家边境开展大规模演习。白俄罗斯对此“密切关注”并“将采取适当措施”。
沃尔福维奇说，欧洲国家试图用虚构的来自俄罗斯和白俄罗斯的威胁为其军事化行动辩护，所谓俄罗斯近期将对欧洲国家发起军事行动的说法“极其荒谬”。
他表示，白俄罗斯领导人始终强调需要建立对话机制，在谈判桌上解决问题，然而这一呼吁始终没有得到邻国回应。
沃尔福维奇16日宣布白俄罗斯开始对武装力量进行大规模检查，内容包括作战经验应用、军事单位安全状况以及应对包括无人机在内的现代武器打击的能力等。
