China calls for an immediate ceasefire to stop the war and promote a quick de-escalation of the Lebanon-Israel situation.

On the 11th local time, the United Nations Security Council held an emergency meeting regarding the situation of the Lebanon-Israel conflict. The Chinese side stated at the meeting that the current escalation of conflict in the Middle East is spreading, and the situation between Lebanon and Israel has suddenly intensified. The continuation of hostilities does not serve the interests of any party. The international community should unite to promote peace efforts, quickly ease tensions, and restore regional peace and stability.

The UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Lacroix, stated that since early March, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon has recorded over 4,000 instances of fire activity, and the UNIFIL has also observed Israeli forces entering Lebanese territory at multiple locations, with the conflict repeatedly threatening the safety of UN peacekeepers. The clashes along the temporary border "Blue Line" between Lebanon and Israel clearly violate Security Council Resolution 1701. The UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Fletcher, stated that the humanitarian situation in the conflict areas is rapidly deteriorating, and the international community must return to rational diplomacy and the path of peaceful resolution.

China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, stated at the meeting that China condemns any attacks against civilians and diplomatic personnel, calls on all parties to cease hostilities, promote de-escalation, and fulfill their obligations under international law, especially international humanitarian law.
