China-Vietnam Navy Gulf of Tonkin Joint Patrol Conducts Various Port and Shore Exchange Activities

In recent days, the naval officers and soldiers from China and Vietnam participating in the 40th joint patrol and maritime joint training in the Gulf of Tonkin have conducted various port and shore exchange activities at the Fangchenggang Port in Guangxi, further enhancing traditional friendship and deepening mutual understanding and trust.

During the ship visit activities, the naval officers and soldiers from China and Vietnam engaged in in-depth exchanges on aspects such as weaponry maintenance and daily training management. The Chinese naval officers introduced the basic structure of the ships, weapon systems, and unique naval culture to their Vietnamese counterparts, leaving a deep impression on the Vietnamese side. On the Vietnamese ships, the Chinese naval officers also learned about their unique designs and efficient military configurations.

In the exchange of naval specialty projects, the naval officers and soldiers from China and Vietnam waved hand flags, displaying messages such as “The friendship between China and Vietnam is deep, comrades and brothers” and “China and Vietnam are good neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, dependent on each other,” conveying friendship in a unique naval way.

On the sports field, the two sides mixed teams and engaged in cultural and sports activities such as basketball, tug-of-war, and relay races, showcasing the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the participating naval officers and soldiers from China and Vietnam.

According to the planned scheme, after concluding the port and shore exchange phase, the naval fleets of China and Vietnam will head to the Gulf of Tonkin for joint patrols, during which they will organize joint escort missions, anti-piracy operations, joint search and rescue, and various training exercises, further deepening military cooperation.
