Chinese Navy Hospital Ship "Peace Ark" Visits Côte d'Ivoire

On October 14 local time, the Chinese Navy hospital ship "Peace Ark," carrying out the "Harmonious Mission-2026," arrived in Côte d'Ivoire to begin a 7-day goodwill visit and provide medical services. This is the first visit of a Chinese Navy hospital ship to Côte d'Ivoire.

At around 10 a.m. that day, the "Peace Ark," flying the flags of both China and Côte d'Ivoire, docked at the port of Abidjan. Our mission personnel and civilian staff lined up in formation, waving to the welcoming crowd on the dock.

Military and political officials from Côte d'Ivoire, the Chinese Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, military attaché, embassy staff, representatives of overseas Chinese and Chinese-funded institutions, and others welcomed the ship at the dock. At the ceremony, the welcoming crowd held up banners and waved the flags of both countries, warmly welcoming the visit of the Chinese Navy hospital ship. After the ceremony, the Chief of Staff of the Ivorian Navy boarded the "Peace Ark" for a tour.

During the visit, the mission commander will hold discussions with military and political officials from Côte d'Ivoire. The hospital ship will provide medical services to local patients based on its main platform and will send out medical exchange teams and medical patrol teams to conduct medical exchanges and patrols at places such as the Abidjan Military Hospital and the University of Cocody. In addition, a deck reception will be organized to enhance mutual friendship and trust.
