On August 31 local time, China's 6th batch of peacekeeping helicopter detachment and the 3rd batch of rapid response detachment, in accordance with the orders of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei, efficiently completed a joint aerial reconnaissance mission along the border in the southern sector of Abyei, in cooperation with infantry battalions and operational officers from Ghana and Bangladesh.
The aerial reconnaissance lasted a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes. The crew strictly adhered to the United Nations airspace control requirements and overcame adverse conditions such as high temperatures, sandstorms, and air turbulence, smoothly conducting aerial operations along the designated flight path. The reconnaissance personnel from the rapid response detachment collaborated with peacekeeping officers and soldiers from Ghana and Bangladesh, utilizing aerial perspectives to patrol key border areas, uninhabited regions, and major transit routes, thoroughly documenting the on-site situation.
