► CMD and UFORCE to explore marine engine collaboration for unmanned surface vessels
Abu Dhabi, UAE/Paris, France: 05 November 2026 – EDGE Group entity, CMD, a leading Italian company specialising in the design, prototyping and development of advanced propulsion systems, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UFORCE, a developer of unmanned systems for air, land and sea operations, to explore potential collaboration in the field of unmanned surface vessels (USVs). The MoU includes the potential establishment of a joint venture that could cover the commercialisation, production and distribution of marine power engines, the development of new engines, as well as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and other services.
Giorgio Negri, Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer, CMD, and Oleg Rogynskyy, CEO, UFORCE, signed the MoU at the EDGE Europe office in Paris.
The MoU supports EDGE’s plans for CMD, set out when the Group acquired a controlling stake in October 2026, to scale its manufacturing, accelerate research and development, and grow its presence across unmanned and maritime markets. Partnerships of this kind strengthen the European propulsion hub that EDGE is building in Italy.
