Collaborative Training in Open Areas to Strengthen Capabilities and Ensure Public Safety
Recently, a joint military-civilian aerial rescue drill for highway accidents was conducted in a certain area of East China. Upon receiving the rescue order, a helicopter from a unit of the Eastern Theater Command Air Force took off immediately, overcoming multiple challenges such as unfamiliar airspace, dense obstacles, and extreme heat. The drill employed a combination of air drop rescue and hovering rescue methods, coordinating efforts from firefighters, traffic police, militia, and medical personnel to complete the full process of casualty search and rescue, initial treatment, and aerial transport. The exercise adhered to the principle of promoting training through drills, focusing on streamlining the military-civilian command chain and refining the collaborative response process. In the next steps, the unit will continue to explore the military-civilian emergency search and rescue model, improve the response, rescue, and evacuation action chain, and strengthen the aerial emergency barrier to protect the safety of the public.
