► Daimler Truck, Lambert Defence and Soframe join forces for Belgian Defence Tender

Daimler Truck AG, Lambert Defence and Soframe signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a framework for cooperation in response to the Belgian Defence’s Tactical Logistic Trucks Program (TLTP) tender. TLTP aims to renew and expand the logistics vehicle fleet of the Belgian Armed Forces through the procurement of modern tactical transport capabilities.

The agreement reflects the shared ambition of the three companies to combine their respective expertise and industrial capabilities in order to deliver a robust, reliable and mission-ready solution tailored to the operational requirements of the Belgian Armed Forces. The partnership also builds on previous successful defence projects delivered jointly for the Belgian Armed Forces, demonstrating an established cooperation and proven, field-approved solutions.

The partners contribute their respective expertise and capabilities

Through this cooperation, Daimler Truck AG will contribute its proven military vehicle platforms and global industrial capabilities. Soframe will provide its expertise in qualified protected cab design and manufacturing, with a cabin solution already approved for use by the Belgian Armed Forces, while Lambert Defence will be responsible for vehicle integration activities in Belgium, leveraging its local industrial footprint, defence market knowledge and lifecycle support capabilities.

High degree of industrial participation in Belgium

A key objective of the partnership is to maximize Belgian industrial participation throughout the program. Vehicle integration, as well as the potential local manufacturing and assembly of key vehicle components such as the armored cab, chassis and bodywork, together with support and lifecycle activities, are intended to be performed in Belgium, generating significant economic benefits through local employment, skills development, industrial investments and long-term sustainment activities. This approach supports both the operational needs of Belgian Defence and the country’s ambition to strengthen its national defence industrial base.

Preparation of a joint response to the Belgian Defence’s TLTP tender

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks an important milestone in the preparation of a joint response to the Belgian Defence’s TLTP tender and underlines the commitment of all three partners to strengthening European defence cooperation and industrial resilience.

The partnership will now focus on evaluating the program requirements, defining the proposed solution and preparing a coordinated response to the forthcoming procurement process.
