General Dynamics wins new Stryker sustainment contract

The U.S. Army awarded General Dynamics Land Systems a $54,281,616 contract to provide sustainment support for the Stryker vehicle fleet, the Department of War announced August 24. The cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers field-level maintenance, field service representative support and fielding activities.
The contract specifically applies when interactive electronic technical manuals and logistics products have not yet been fully integrated into the fielding process, according to the award notice. Army Contracting Command at Detroit Arsenal, Michigan, is managing the contract, designated W912CH-26-D-0077. Bids were solicited online, and the Army received one bid. Work locations and funding will be determined with each individual order, and the estimated completion date is August 24, 2031.
General Dynamics Land Systems, based in Sterling Heights, Michigan, is the original manufacturer of the Stryker, an eight-wheeled armored vehicle that has served as the Army’s primary medium-weight combat vehicle since the early 2000s. The company has held the Detroit Arsenal’s Stryker sustainment work for years, and this award adds to a series of related contracts issued over the past two years.
In April 2024, the Army awarded General Dynamics Land Systems a $518.8 million contract for Stryker systems technical support, covering systems engineering, contractor test support and logistics engineering. That followed a $210.3 million February 2024 award for Stryker Brigade Combat Team support and preceded a $174.4 million contract announced in July 2024 for vehicle repair and retrofit work running through February 2029. In August 2025, the Army issued a $202.8 million follow-on contract for wholesale supply logistics support tied to the Stryker fleet.
General Dynamics Land Systems has continued separate work upgrading the Stryker Double-V Hull A1 variant. In April, the Army awarded the company a $44.4 million modification for maintenance and training module kits tied to that upgrade program, bringing the total value of that contract to $63.96 million.
The Army fields nearly 4,700 Stryker vehicles across its brigade combat teams, and the platform continues to receive incremental upgrades, including the 30 mm-armed Infantry Carrier Vehicle-Dragoon variant now being fielded to units in Europe.
