On June 4, Xinhua News Agency reported from Beirut (reporters Cao Changhao and Shen Feng) that Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem delivered a televised speech on the party's Al-Manar TV, stating that a ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel must include the entire territory of Lebanon. As long as Israel's occupation continues, Hezbollah's resistance will persist.

Qassem stated that making the disarmament of Hezbollah a fundamental goal of any agreement means weakening Lebanon's strength and poses an existential threat to the Lebanese who insist on resistance. "This is tantamount to undermining Lebanon's sovereignty and stability, creating internal strife and division among the people."

Qassem indicated that Israel is attempting to achieve its goals through political means that it could not accomplish through war, which is unacceptable.

Qassem emphasized that Hezbollah refuses to link the existence of the "resistance forces" with the cessation of aggression and the issue of Israel's withdrawal, calling on relevant parties to stop this so-called "direct negotiation" farce.

Qassem stated that the ceasefire must be comprehensive, and there should be no distinction between southern Lebanon and other regions of Lebanon, nor should the Israeli military be allowed to kill indiscriminately within Lebanese territory. As long as the occupation exists, resistance will continue. "Hezbollah is only concerned with a complete cessation of aggression, achieving a ceasefire, and Israel's withdrawal."
