Houthi Forces in Yemen Claim to Have Been Attacked by Saudi Airstrikes 26 Times in 24 Hours

The Houthi armed group stated on the 27th that in the past 24 hours, Saudi Arabian warplanes have launched 26 airstrikes on five provinces in Yemen. The Yemeni government forces, on the other hand, reported that they have carried out hundreds of strikes against Houthi military targets in the past three days.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree issued a statement on social media that several F-15 fighter jets took off from the Saudi airbase in Khamis Mushait and conducted 26 airstrikes on the provinces of Taiz, Al-Jawf, Marib, Dhamar, and Saada, resulting in casualties. However, the statement did not specify the exact number of casualties.

The statement noted that since the escalation of this round of conflict, Saudi-led airstrikes and missile attacks have reached 1,085.

Additionally, the Yemeni government forces reported on the 27th that in the past 72 hours, they have conducted 761 strikes against Houthi military targets and personnel in various locations in Yemen. These operations resulted in 361 Houthi casualties, and four "Iranian experts" responsible for operating and launching drones and missiles were killed in Taiz province.

Neither the Houthi armed group nor Iran has responded to the Yemeni government forces' claims.

Recently, the Houthi armed group has intensified its offensive against government forces and announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia, which supports the Yemeni government. The Houthis have captured strategic locations such as the port city of Mocha and the island of Perlin. The Yemeni government stated on the 11th that the Houthis have taken control of the entire western coast of the country and have pushed their offensive into the southern province of Lahij.
