Houthi Forces in Yemen Warn International Airlines to Stop Operating Routes Through Saudi Airspace
Xinhua News Agency, Kuwait City, October 5 (Reporter Yin Zhao) - Sana'a reports: The military spokesperson for the Houthi armed forces, Yahya Saree, issued a statement on the 5th, stating that Saudi Arabian airspace has become an "operational area" for the Houthis, warning all international airlines operating routes related to Saudi airspace to suspend relevant flights.
Saree stated in a declaration posted on social media that Saudi airspace is now "unsafe," and the Houthi armed forces "will not bear any responsibility for the consequences of ignoring this warning." However, the warning does not include the airspace over Mecca and Medina.
As of now, the Saudi side has not responded to this warning.
