I Attend the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers for Overseas Peacekeeping Mission Troops

According to the PLA Daily, May 29 this year marks the 24th International Peacekeepers Day. Our peacekeeping troops have participated in or organized various activities to commemorate International Peacekeepers Day, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining world peace through practical actions.
On May 29 local time, our 16th batch of peacekeeping engineering and medical teams to South Sudan (Wau) participated in the commemorative activities organized by the UN Mission in South Sudan's Western Sector, holding a moment of silence together with peacekeeping personnel from several contributing countries to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the cause of peace.
During the event, the head of the UN Mission in South Sudan's Western Sector summarized the phased peacekeeping work and highly praised the Chinese peacekeeping troops for their hard work and dedication since being deployed to the mission area, efficiently completing tasks such as supply line repairs, camp infrastructure construction, medical patrols, and emergency evacuation of the injured, providing solid support for the orderly advancement of various peacekeeping efforts.
On May 29 local time, our 3rd batch of rapid response peacekeeping troops to Abyei held a swearing-in ceremony to commemorate International Peacekeepers Day.
At the swearing-in ceremony, all personnel solemnly pledged allegiance facing the Five-Star Red Flag and the United Nations flag. The troops reaffirmed their original mission of serving the country and safeguarding peace, further consolidating their fighting spirit to fulfill their duties and remain on the front lines.
After the ceremony, the troops proceeded to the mission area to conduct regular armed patrols. Based on the actual situation in the mission area, the team adopted a combination of vehicle and foot patrols to inspect the main roads and residential areas, rigorously checking for potential conflict risks and ensuring the safety of local residents.
