Compared to the previous generation, the barrel of the latest generation is slightly longer, which allows for a faster initial velocity of the projectile, and the power adjustment is also more precise. Most importantly, the projectile of the latest generation has increased in size and weight compared to the previous generation, indicating that its kinetic energy and power have also increased.

Compared to traditional firearms, it is also relatively quiet and has high concealability, making it a non-lethal weapon.

Military commentator Zhang Xuefeng: The electromagnetic gun can precisely control the initial velocity of the projectile by adjusting the current based on the target distance and specific conditions on site, minimizing the risk of penetrating injuries and dispersing the impact over a larger area. It can effectively subdue targets while reducing the risk of fatality. During the firing process, it does not produce the flames, smoke, or loud explosions associated with gunpowder, nor does it eject shell casings, so the concealability of the shooting is excellent. In the future, if this electromagnetic gun further increases its power and effectiveness, and improves accuracy, it could be used in military operations, potentially replacing existing firearms in certain scenarios. With breakthroughs in battery technology that offer higher energy density, electromagnetic weapons are expected to play a more significant role in future modern warfare.
