Recently, a certain unit of the Southern Theater Command Navy deployed to a certain area in the South China Sea to conduct comprehensive training assessments for naval vessels.

“The 'enemy' beach fire point is interfering with our operations, instructing your ship to proceed for support…” Upon receiving the combat order, the Tongling ship immediately sounded the battle alarm and quickly navigated towards the target area. En route, it was suddenly confronted by “enemy” aerial forces, and the vessel swiftly deployed air defense measures, launching decoy flares to mislead “enemy” missiles.

The radar detected “enemy” aircraft approaching at high speed, attempting a low-altitude surprise attack, and the vessel immediately prepared to counter! After searching, the Tongling ship identified “enemy” coastal targets, and multiple rounds of shells were fired, completing the strike on the shore.

“The right engine room was hit and took on water, one engineer was injured.” During this time, the assessment team simulated an emergency situation, and the ship's crew immediately initiated damage control measures to seal leaks and pump out water, while promptly rescuing the “injured” personnel.

During the several days of maritime assessments, the unit also organized multiple exercises including anti-surface operations, underway replenishment, and boarding inspections, comprehensively testing the commanders' battlefield situation analysis, on-the-spot planning and decision-making, and the crew's real-time response capabilities.
