On the morning of the 5th local time, the Iranian intelligence department stated that it has recently conducted joint operations with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to strike at the headquarters and ammunition depots of separatist armed groups in the western border region of Iran.
The statement mentioned that these separatist armed groups, with the support of the United States and Israel, attempted to infiltrate into Iran from the western border amid the current conflict situation to carry out terrorist attacks in urban and border areas. In response, Iran launched a preemptive joint operation, with the missile forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps firing four missiles at these armed group strongholds, resulting in the destruction of most of their positions and facilities.
