Iran Claims US E-3 AWACS Aircraft "Destroyed"
Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, March 29 - The Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported on the 29th, citing the public relations department of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, that a U.S. E-3 "Sentry" early warning aircraft was "destroyed" during Iran's missile and drone strikes on the Saudi Prince Sultan Air Base, with the strike hitting a critical area near the tail of the aircraft.
On the same day, Tasnim News Agency also released comparison images before and after the U.S. early warning aircraft was attacked. The images show structural breakage in the middle to rear section of the aircraft, with the tail having separated from the fuselage.
