Iranian Army Commander: The Failure of the Isfahan Province Operation is the Main Reason for the Enemy's Ceasefire
Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, April 18 - Iranian Army Commander Ali Jahanshahi told the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) on the 18th that the enemy's failed operations in the southern part of Isfahan Province are one of the important reasons for their acceptance of a ceasefire.
Jahanshahi pointed out that before the enemy's operations were carried out, the Iranian military had completed all necessary predictions and deployments, and had strengthened their positioning. He stated that the enemy should completely abandon any thoughts of launching a ground attack on the Iranian border.
Earlier, Iranian media quoted a spokesperson from the Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, stating that in an attempt to rescue the downed fighter pilot, U.S. forces tried to carry out operations in the southern part of Isfahan Province, but the operation ended in "complete failure" due to the timely intervention of the Iranian armed forces. During the U.S. operation, two "Black Hawk" helicopters and two C-130 transport planes were shot down.
