Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, April 11 (Reporter Chen Xiao, Shadati) According to a report by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting on the evening of the 11th, a spokesperson for the Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, Khatam al-Anbiya, responded to statements from the U.S. Central Command, strongly denying claims that U.S. naval vessels are approaching or entering the Strait of Hormuz.

The spokesperson stated that the right of passage for any vessels in the Strait of Hormuz is entirely under the control of the Iranian Armed Forces.

Earlier, the U.S. Central Command posted on social media that two U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyers transited the Strait of Hormuz that day and were operating in the Persian Gulf. This is part of a comprehensive effort to clear the mines laid by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the strait.
