Iranian Military: The U.S. Must Not Enter the Persian Gulf and Surrounding Waters
Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, August 16 (Reporter Chen Xiao, Shadati) — According to a report from the Iranian Tasnim News Agency on the 16th, the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, Hatami, stated that the United States will no longer be allowed to enter the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, and the Strait of Hormuz.
The report said that Hatami expressed to the media during a public event that "the expulsion of the United States has become a fact," and that in the future, it "will no longer be granted permission to enter the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, and the Strait of Hormuz." He also emphasized that U.S. military bases cannot return to their previous state, and Iran "will never allow such a situation to occur."
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Hatami stated that the Strait of Hormuz is a "geopolitical resource" owned by the Iranian people, and this "leverage" will not return to its previous state.
On the recent remarks by U.S. President Trump claiming that "after defeating Iran, he will soon declare the Strait of Hormuz as U.S. territory," Hatami stated that such comments are "nonsense, because this is Iran, and the guardians will break your legs."
According to reports, Hatami also announced at the event that any Iranian who captures or kills an American "invader" will receive a reward of $30,000 provided by the "Iranian people."
