Iranian Red Crescent: Over 80,000 Civilian Facilities Attacked by the US and Israel
Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, March 22 (Reporter Shadati, Cao Changhao) - The President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Pir Hossein Kolivand, stated to foreign media in the capital Tehran on the 21st that since the United States and Israel launched aggression against Iran, the two countries have attacked more than 80,000 Iranian civilian facilities.
Kolivand indicated that among the attacked facilities, over 20,000 are located in Tehran, and more than 60,000 are in other provinces. Among them, 266 medical centers and 498 schools have been directly or indirectly affected by the attacks.
He mentioned that 17 centers of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, 3 rescue helicopters, 45 rescue vehicles, and 42 ambulances have also been damaged, with 1 Iranian Red Crescent staff member killed and 10 injured. The attacks have also resulted in the deaths of 12 Iranian medical personnel, with over 90 others injured.
Kolivand emphasized that Iran considers these attacks to be violations of international humanitarian law and records relevant data daily, submitting it to the appropriate international organizations to hold accountable those responsible for these illegal acts and crimes. (End)
