Israel Claims Record High in Arms Exports for Five Consecutive Years
According to a report by Reference News on June 5, Agence France-Presse reported on June 2 that the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced on the 2nd that Israeli arms exports have reached a historic high for the fifth consecutive year. Driven by the export of missiles, rockets, and air defense systems, Israel's arms export value is expected to exceed $19 billion in 2025.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense stated in a declaration: “Israeli defense equipment exports have set a historical record for the fifth consecutive year, with exports reaching $19.2 billion in 2025, an increase of nearly 30% year-on-year. The export scale has doubled in five years and quadrupled in ten years.”
The statement pointed out that missiles, rockets, and air defense equipment are the main export drivers, accounting for 29% of all foreign sales orders, and there has also been significant growth in export orders for reconnaissance and electro-optical systems.
European countries account for 36% of the total value of Israeli defense equipment exports, the Asia-Pacific region accounts for 32%, and the Middle East and North Africa account for 15%.
The statement quoted Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz as saying: “The achievements of the Israel Defense Forces on various fronts, the strong technical capabilities of our domestic military industry, and the popularity of Israeli military products in the global market are clearly and inextricably linked.”
