Xinhua News Agency, Gaza, April 14 (Reporter Zhao Weihong) - Israel conducted two airstrikes on Gaza City in the northern Gaza Strip on the 14th, resulting in at least 9 deaths and multiple injuries.
According to the Palestinian News Agency, the Israeli military launched an airstrike on the western part of Gaza City that evening, causing at least 5 deaths and injuring several others. Sources from the Palestinian security department told Xinhua reporters that an Israeli drone attacked a tent and a nearby generator in the coastal area of Gaza City, leading to casualties, and the injured have been sent to Shifa Hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses told Xinhua reporters that the drone fired at least one missile, causing a violent explosion and fire. Rescue personnel from the civil defense department in the Gaza Strip quickly arrived at the scene to evacuate residents and transport the injured.
The Gaza Strip's interior department issued a statement on the 14th, saying that in the afternoon, an Israeli airstrike hit a car in Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of 1 police officer and 3 others, including 1 child, with another 9 people injured. The statement pointed out that the attacked vehicle belonged to the local police force.
As of the time of publication, the Israeli side had not issued a statement regarding these two attacks.
