The Israel Defense Forces stated on the 10th local time that the IDF conducted an airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip on the 9th, killing a combat team commander of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) "Nukhba" elite unit.

According to the IDF statement, this individual had participated in the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, and infiltrated the Re'im military base located in southern Israel. In recent months, he had been continuously planning attacks against the IDF and attempting to restore the operational capabilities of Hamas's armed forces.

As of now, Hamas has not responded to this.
