On June 29, Xinhua News Agency reported from Jerusalem (reporters Pang Xinyi and Wang Zhuolun) that Israeli media reported that Defense Minister Katz stated to the media that, given the complex security situation and military operations in Lebanon, Israel could potentially clash with Iran again at any time.

The Israeli newspaper "New News" reported that Katz outlined two possible scenarios for the resumption of war with Iran: one is that U.S. President Trump "believes negotiations are over and wants to reignite the flames of war," and the other is an Iranian attack on Israel. Katz said he has instructed the Israel Defense Forces to prepare for "Operation Blue and White" in Iran.

"New News" explained that the so-called "Operation Blue and White" refers to military operations led by Israel, rather than relying on external forces. The report quoted Katz as saying that the IDF is prepared for both defensive and offensive actions, and if Israel identifies "conclusive danger," it will launch an attack.

Regarding the situation in Lebanon, Katz stated that the IDF will not withdraw "a millimeter" until Hezbollah is disarmed, and it is "unlikely" that the IDF will withdraw from other areas beyond the two "pilot project" regions in southern Lebanon.

Katz also mentioned that "almost all" armed infrastructure and villages in the western and central sections of the southern "security zone" have been destroyed, and 73% of the villages and infrastructure in the eastern section have been destroyed, meaning that the 200,000 Lebanese residents who originally lived in the "security zone" "will be unable to return home for a long time."
