Mali's military says it has targeted terrorists in multiple locations across the country.
Xinhua News Agency, Dakar, May 5 (Reporter Chen Chen) - Bamako reported: The Malian military stated on the 5th that multiple rounds of airstrikes were carried out on the 4th in various locations across the country, targeting terrorist objectives, including the destruction of their vehicles as well as fuel and ammunition depots.
The General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces issued a statement that day, saying the military first struck a terrorist hideout west of the city of Djowara in the Mopti region, destroying 6 pickup trucks, several motorcycles, and a concealed fuel and ammunition depot.
The military then launched airstrikes in the area north of the city of Sevare in the Mopti region, killing about 50 terrorists and destroying 4 pickup trucks, several motorcycles, and a large fuel and ammunition depot. The military also conducted a third round of strikes southeast of the city of Menaka in the Menaka region, "completely eliminating" a terrorist group.
The Malian military stated that it will continue to pursue terrorists nationwide.
