Jiang Bin: From September 3 to 9, the navies of China and Singapore conducted the "Maritime Cooperation - 2026" joint exercise in the maritime and aerial areas near Zhanjiang, Guangdong. The Chinese Navy's missile frigate Dali and the Singapore Navy's frigate RSS Formidable participated in the exercise. During the joint exercise, both sides organized various port and shore activities, including a command post exercise, ship tours, professional exchanges, and a deck reception, as well as drills on communication operations, formation maneuvers, live-fire shooting, at-sea replenishment, joint search and rescue, and casualty evacuation and treatment, with each side sending observers to participate alongside their ships. This marks the fifth joint exercise between the navies of China and Singapore in recent years, and through joint training and mutual learning, both sides continue to enhance friendship and trust, promote pragmatic cooperation, and improve their capabilities to jointly maintain regional peace and stability.
