At DSA 2026, one of the most prominent defence exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region, the BORAN 105 mm Air-Transportable Light Towed Howitzer stands out as one of MKE’s flagship systems, drawing strong attention from international delegations and defence authorities.
Developed through MKE’s own resources, the BORAN lightweight towed howitzer has become one of the most remarkable systems in recent years, steadily building a global success story. Backed by MKE’s extensive experience in heavy weapons manufacturing and advanced engineering capabilities, BORAN distinguishes itself as a high-performance and reliable system.
Since its induction into the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces in 2021, BORAN has proven its effectiveness both in operational use and in international markets. In 2024 and 2025, the system was successfully exported to various countries across Asia and Europe, marking a significant milestone in Türkiye’s defence exports.
Following these deliveries, BORAN participated in live-fire trials conducted in Malaysia in May 2025, where it was evaluated alongside howitzer systems from different countries on the same range. Demonstrating strong performance under competitive conditions, the system reinforced its position as a reliable and combat-proven solution on the global stage.
