Residents of Gaza: Israeli Military Bombardments Continue, There Is No Safety Here

Recently, the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis and the northern Jabalia refugee camp were hit by Israeli airstrikes. Data released by the Gaza health department on the 19th indicated that in the past 24 hours, Israeli attacks resulted in 3 deaths and 3 injuries in the Gaza Strip, with people still trapped under the rubble. Currently, the Israeli military has not responded to the two attacks.

On the same day, the Israeli military carried out airstrikes in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, destroying multiple tents of displaced families and leaving behind giant craters. Displaced residents in the area reported that the main water supply pipeline was also severely damaged in the Israeli airstrikes.

Around 1:30 PM on the 19th, I thought the Israeli military was just bluffing, so I got close to the tent and sat nearby. As a result, the Israeli missile accurately hit this area. The Israeli military claimed the target of the attack was a tunnel, but upon inspection, we found that there were no tunnels here at all; what was destroyed was the water supply pipeline used by 50,000 residents—everyone in the Mawasi area relies on this pipeline for water.

Meanwhile, buildings in the northern Jabalia refugee camp have also been severely damaged in recent Israeli airstrikes.

Local resident Umm Mansour: We saw with our own eyes the houses of our neighbors collapse. They say the conflict has ceased, but in reality, the flames of war have never been extinguished. We live in fear every day, surrounded by ruins. As long as the bombings continue, there is no safety here. Most people are displaced, living in tents. A single stone can injure us; how can we talk about a stable life? What are we supposed to do, and where can we go?
