"Riding the Waves, Sharpening the Blade at Night! A Certain Unit of the Central Theater Command Air Force Conducts Nighttime Maritime Search and Rescue Training in a Certain Sea Area"

Recently,

the Air Force of the Central Theater Command conducted

specialized night maritime search and rescue training

to enhance the night maritime search and rescue capabilities of various types of rescue helicopters.

During the training preparation phase,

the unit followed the approach of “verification, review, optimization, and solidification”

to conduct in-depth research on factors affecting weather, equipment, and environment,

as well as reference objects,

and explored solutions to technical challenges such as night maritime hovering and rescue.

“Target detected, prepare for rescue!”

At the commander's order,

the rescue helicopter flew to the target area,

hovering precisely at ultra-low altitude above the rescue target.

“Deploy the rescue swimmer!”

The crew overcame adverse factors such as body disturbance, cable sway,

and target drift,

quickly locking onto the target position.

The rescue swimmer completed the binding and securing despite severe shaking.

“Rescue swimmer is off the water and being lifted”

The winch operator skillfully controlled the cable recovery,

using light guidance and repeated posture corrections,

to safely lift the target into the cabin.

The crew confirmed the heading again,

and flew at full speed to the rear rescue point,

successfully completing the night maritime search and rescue mission.

This training

marks that the unit has the capability for all-weather, all-domain emergency rescue under complex sea conditions,

significantly enhancing the safety factor of the training,

and greatly improving the quality and effectiveness of practical training.

It lays a solid foundation for subsequent mission execution.
