On August 4 local time, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian military has taken control of a settlement in the Kharkiv region. Over the past day, the Russian military has targeted Ukrainian military transportation, energy infrastructure, logistics centers, drone manufacturing and storage sites, among other objectives. The report also stated that the Russian military continued to strike Ukrainian ports, maritime vessels, and related infrastructure on the same day, claiming that these facilities were used for the military supply of the Ukrainian armed forces.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the 4th that over the past day, there were 226 combat incidents in the frontline areas, and the Ukrainian military repelled Russian attacks in multiple directions.
