Russia claims Ukrainian drone attack on a school in Luhansk, death toll has risen to 12.
On May 23 local time, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the death toll from the Ukrainian attack has risen to 12.
On the morning of May 22 local time, the appointed head of the Luhansk region, Pasechnik, stated that Ukrainian military drones carried out a nighttime attack on the educational building and dormitory of the Starobilsk Vocational College. At the time of the attack, there were 86 minors aged 14 to 18 on campus. On the same day, Russian President Putin stated that there were no military facilities or special department facilities near the attacked college. Putin emphasized that there is no evidence to suggest that these drones hit the school dormitory because they were shot down or deviated from their flight path. He has instructed the Russian Ministry of Defense to submit plans for retaliatory strikes.
